This was largely inspired by old crazy DnB programming, but I wanted to add my own twist to it by doing it on an SPC700. Fitting 26 samples(!) into 38KB feels like magic wizardry, and then managing to get a full 5 minute song going on that poor machine was brutal. But I am certain the results paid off, and am in love with this song.

IDM / UKG fun and games.
This began purely IDM. Odd acid, a bit of a Squarepusher style Amen beat. But it stalled.
Then I heard some new UKG. I forget the artist, but it inspired me to add the keys, which ended up being the backbone to the track.

-Proof of concept-
The PC version of Sonic 3 & Knuckles contain different tracks for levels and menus, such as this one. I'm trying to arrange them so they sound like they came from the Genesis.

V2* Last version had the Death Egg section too loud, and made everything sound a bit disharmonious (And sounded ugly as hell), so I toned it down and moved it more towards the background.

V3* I still wasn't quite too happy with it, so I made some instrument changes and removed the death egg nod as I couldn't get it to work as I wanted.
