‘Answers’ came to me unexpectedly one summer morning at 2am. I was in a trance, playing the chords repeatedly until the lyrics seemed to write themselves. It felt like the words were given to me before I fully understood them. At that time, I had been reflecting on the idea that our reality could be part of a grand experiment, a giant holographic pulse. Everything I was reading and listening to seemed to hint at this concept. The purpose being to disconnect us from the truth of who we are, through the limitations of the human body, societal programming, and cycles of suffering, to see if we remember. But what do we remember? I believe the answer can never be expressed in words. It's a felt sense that we all glimpse from time to time. At the deepest level, I think we have all, at a soul level, agreed to be part of this game, not to seek escape, but to fully immerse ourselves in every facet of it, knowing that it is, in fact, just a game.

To what degree is someone else’s behaviour towards us a reflection of the relationship with ourselves? 
I wrote “Again” when I was starting to see challenging people, conversations and events as a mirror for deeper introspection about where I was at internally.

Feeling the unspoken energy of someone through their body beyond their words; I was continually trapping myself inside a web governed by Neptune and the refusal to face reality. ‘In Your Hands’ was the exact point of surrender. I had spent my life forcing situations, exhausting my heart hoping for love where it was not available. For the first time, I was able to let go and trust in something greater.

The chorus melody visited me in a dream after I had just woken up from the ache of unrequited love. The connection was etheric and like nothing I had felt before. Conversations were deep, passionate and soul-searching. Every bone in my body wanted to hold on as he began fading away. ‘Paved’ speaks to a broken promise disguised as a fated lesson in discernment.
