The long-awaited first official LP from Michigan-based producer Sango, North, will release digitally on Soulection July 23, 2013 with vinyl to follow. 

Sango’s North brings forth a new sound, one that pulls from soul, rnb, future bass, hip hop and  broken beat fusing them together with seamless vocals chops and grooves. North features collaborations from a diverse group of artists like Australia’s Ta-ku, cinematic downtempo producer Atu, nu-soul singer JMSN, story-telling rapper WALDO, newcomer vocalist Brea and Dpat who produced ‘Remember You’ for Wiz Khalifa and The Weeknd.

Following major worldwide support for his refixes, EP’s and beat tapes from the likes of Brownswood’s Gilles Peterson, KCRW’s Aaron Byrd, and Noisey (VICE) to name a few, Sango is poised to elevate the definition of what “future” music is. 

10+ casual releases later, North combines the best of Sango over the last few years into one seamless musical journey. North is a love story of two people, on a journey, who find better things in themselves when they are with each other. North in Hebrew as noted visually in the album art [that Sango designed himself], representing a sense of “heaven” or  “glory” are symbolic to Sango, as he sees everything he does an artist for the greater glory, the greater good, as something bigger than himself.

North will also be available on all primary digital markets such as iTunes, Juno, Amazon, Beatport, ect.

We are excited to announce the launch of our new White Label Series with who other than Lakim! We've been planning this series for some time now and are glad it is finally becoming a reality. Since Soulection is always finding new artists and new sounds we wanted to really focus and simplify the music into a new platform. Every Soulection White Label project will consist of only 2-4 tracks and really highlight the true craftsmanship of each artist. Lakim is a perfect introduction for this launch. Meet our latest discovery Jarreau Vandal (Pronounced Juh-Row)all the way from Amsterdam! This dude is by far one of the most talented artists that we've discovered in recent times. It was about a month ago that we found out about him when Iamnobodi brought him to our attention and told us how he met Jarreau at a show in Amsterdam. Iamnobodi said Jarreau sent him a folder of unreleased beats (including some of the tracks on this White Label) and was blown away! As you can hear for yourself Jarreau's production is very mature and ahead of time. We truly feel that he is next up to blow. Keep your eyes and ears open for plenty of more music to come from Jarreau and Soulection.
