Akasha System - Midnight Tide

Philip Sherburne once described the Oregon's producer as follows: the closer you peer, the more Akasha System’s seemingly uncomplicated music turns out to be something like an interdependent system, a dynamic landscape of give and take.
This sense of interdependence is deep and alive. Still relevant today of Thompson's sound signature. 
Blooming interconnected soundscascapes that channel house, IDM, ambient and timeless dreamy synths. 

Tape Hiss - Scirocco

A soft wind blows from sea to sea, carrying with it siren songs of gentle piano and a hope for a brighter future. 
Emotional dance music from the Brooklyn producer. 

Manuel Darquart - Low Tide

Going back to what makes us happiest. 'Low Tide' is the sister track to our Italo-inspired 'High Tide' tune from our Infinite Pleasure EP. 606 Hats, 808 snares and of course the Lately Bass punching through some wavy Juno pads. Name us a better combo, we'll wait.

Cosmic Cherry - Malibu 

After making it through yet another lengthy and grey Berlin winter, DJ and producer Cosmic Cherry put together “Malibu” to have you dream of warmer, friendlier places. A summery, mellow house track with airy vocals and a punchy bass line that takes you to your favorite destinations. Using her own voice in German, she longs for those times where you can smell the salt water in the air and dance through mild summer nights. 

Nicodemo - Esmeralda 

Nicodemo gets back to his own imprint with his italo touch, balearic infused; hypnotic and effective track that jacks your body with plenty of hands-in-the-air synths, a pumping bassline and rhythmic elements rising to a harmonic crescendo.

Rambal Cochet debuts on Alzaya with a Vinyl-Only EP. Celebrating the interconnected strands of head-tripping hypnotic sounds, new age electronica and early/late 90s progressive house/trance, Rambal Cochet arrives on this only vinyl EP, built to elevate the dance floors. 

Since emerging in the scene, Rambal Cochet has ably demonstrated his instinct for different approaches, whether exploring expansive sonic palettes or holding down stages where he has performed. This DJ, producer and versatile music curator, throughout his career, turned his capable hand into a truly immersive listening experience. 

Dolphin's Dance is an uplifting music journey with a flavour of the good old prog sound and a dreamy atmosphere. Volantis & Nicodemo elaborated on the title track stylishly and thoughtfully. The narrative flow in Twisted Reality and Virtual Nightmare uses contrasting ecosystems to glide through distinctive spaces, unfolding with darker vibes infused with style sounds, as in Yello's 90's album "Pocket Universe". The effect is sometimes nostalgic, calling to mind pulsating rhythms, bass lines, and hypnotic melodies. 

Rambal Cochet shows again an exceptional talent for producing high-level dance music. An exquisite 4 rhythmic and stimulating club jams to be savoured and absorbed in ALZ05.

Alzaya Records announces the release of ALZC03 - Atlantika, the first EP from 2024 dedicated to our concept series featuring Portuguese artist @anastasiazems in an authentic experimental work resulting from a self-reflexive journey that echoes the passage of time and life changes.

The artist mixes her core passions - marked by hypnotic electronic rhythms, Acid and Trance - with powerful new experiences marked by dissonant colours and sounds. The EP concludes with an invitation to slow down, reinterpreted in a separate track by Eklektique, which enhances its essence and message to promote new styles and talents.

Ancient Japanese spirits meet contemporary electronic music in Yokai Parade EP,
a mystical collaboration between Italian producer Volantis and Japanese artist
Hiroko. Inspired by a psychedelic experience in Kobe where train sounds
summoned supernatural visitors, this four-track journey merges folklore with
modern dance music through a unique blend of hardware synthesis and haunting
vocals.
The title track "Yokai Parade" leads listeners into a shadowy realm where Hiroko's
Italian narration intertwines with Japanese train announcements, calling forth
ancient spirits. Eden Burns transforms this nocturnal tale into a hypnotic,
percussion-driven remix that deepens its ceremonial essence.
On "La Kappa," Hiroko embodies a playful water spirit, her accented Italian
dancing over dreamlike sequences. Fabrizio Mammarella's
Italorama Version injects classic Italo disco energy, creating a perfect bridge
between Japanese mythology and Mediterranean dance floors.
Co-produced with Niccolò Barozzi, this vinyl and digital release captures a unique
moment where East meets West, and traditional folklore dissolves into electronic
rhythms.

Who is Harvey Couture? Some say he’s a survivor of French pop music’s sun-soaked synth-pop era of the early 1980s, others that he’s a more suave and stylish Serge Gainsbourg for the nu-Balearic era. There were even rumours circulating that he’s a musical mobster from the Cote D’Azure: a shadowy member of the mafia who deals in synths, drum machines and fretless bass guitars rather than guns, money and drugs.

In truth, not even Leng Records knows much about the man behind the moniker, though his vividly kaleidoscopic, retro-futurist debut album, Scellé En Cristal, does offer a number of crafty clues. Whether listeners will make the necessary deductions to solve the mystery remains to be seen; regardless, it’s the music that matters, and on that score Scellé En Cristal simply cannot be faulted.

Rich in humid, afternoon-bright musical delights, the set sees our publicity-shy hero mix and mangle a multitude of musical influences – think proto-Balearic European synth-pop, Prince style purple funk, immersive ambient, early INXS style synth-rock, the electronic end of zouk and much more besides – with constantly colourful and imaginative results.

Couture is most at home adding his variously seductive, sexy and sleazy vocals to bubbly, upbeat and mid-tempo numbers that combine delay-laden drum machine beats with surging synths, fluid bass, stylish guitars, lashings of leftfield pop nouse and plenty of tongue-in-cheek Gallic flair.

For proof, check the throbbing, off-kilter alien-funk throb of ‘Les Portes De La Perception’, the bustling, percussion-laden cheeriness of ‘Crème Solaire’ and the loose-limbed, toe-tapping brilliance of ‘Je Ne Peux Pas’, where chiming, steel pan style melodies and pots-and-pans percussion hits jostle for position with sliding fretless bass notes and flash-fried guitars. Check to ‘Passion’, a swaggering slab of bustling electrofunk/synth-rock fusion rich in ‘Rockit’-style scratches and restless synth-bass.

The influence of languid, sunset-ready European pop records of the 1980s – those cuts that would later become sought-after amongst dusty-fingered collectors of Mediterranean music – is another recurring feature of Couture’s cultured but joyous debut album. It can be heard amongst the drowsy guitars, yawning bass and tumbling lead lines of ‘Look Within’, the pleasingly laidback ‘Invincible Line’, the elastic bass, fluorescent synth sounds and stuttering machine drums of ‘Marche’.

Yet Couture is no one-trick pony. Horizontal and loved-up moments of a more downtempo hue can be found scattered across the album, with the enveloping ambient awe of ‘Les Portes’ – all swelling chords, gentle melodies and atmospheric field recordings – and slowly unfurling ‘Whale Song’ both lingering long in the memory. 

Harvey Couture may not be ready to step out of the shadows just yet, but his music most certainly is. We have a feeling that Scellé En Cristal is just the start of the mystery monsieur’s musical journey.

Creme Solaire

The rising producer @acidgigi delivers his first solo EP on our label.
A brave debut during the toughest times for the electronic scene, yet an anthem to the desire to be part of the world of clubbing.
The EP shifts towards a cinematic sound with UK garage inflections, hypnotic voices and a tasteful breakbeat lure.
Everything leans on a dark wave sensation that does not allow to fully understand Acidgigi.

Remix by @closetyi is a collaborative joining between transonic synthesizers from the original track with configurative plots of old school bass lines and abstract effect automations. Embracing the deep sounds of Juno and other instruments dissolved into Acidgigi’s own production, Closet kept the original subtleness but gave a darker twist so it can find a nice balance within the whole EP.
Feeling that the key elements of ‘Hypersomnia’ is the dreamy elements of the synths which both suits well for a night-time runner and day-time refresher, the remix extends those vibes to a more druggy experience of transporting illuminations with vibrant acid lines and muddy percussions on top.

Hypersomnia is the scientific word used to refer to all sleep-related disorders.
With insomnia nothing is real. Suffering from insomnia means you are far away from people’s regular lives.
Through insomnia, you feel a deep connection with night, you are obsessed by the night.
It’s fascinating, it’s my world. Through music, i want to translate this dimension into a ritual. The manic obduracy of our mind to fabricate thoughts, reasonings and definitions. Its rejection to abdicate in front of the divine unconsciousness of closed eyes or the wise madness of dreams.
