Born in the womb of Bioware, Mass Effect has set the standard for sci-fi in the universe of gaming as Star Trek did for television. It’s not only a proof of concept but an important stepping stone in how stories are told.

Over the last several years we’ve had the chance here at VGS to speak with A LOT of people who make games at Bioware. In honor of N7 day and Mass Effect we’ve put together a Ted Talk of sorts from writers Drew Karypshyn and Patrick Weekes on the sci-fi series.

We spoke with both of the aforementioned titans of lore years ago but thought it would appropriate to revive their sobering words from the dead.
