The club "Mensch Meier" in Berlin is closing next weekend after ten years. I just stumbled out there last sunday, playing for the last time for real now. It was a running gag: I thought four times in a row in the last two months, that this gig was my last one there. And then another booking came and I was so happy every single time, because this place is special. One recording worked out really fine: my goodbye in mid november, playing at the wonderful theatrefloor for the great juicy event. It's been a beautiful vibe, thank you to everyone, who was there! Somewhere in the set is unreleased music of mine ;)

This club was important. On a musical level, and also for political debates. But I can totally see, why the people involved are exhausted and are coming to an end. Running a club these days in the claws of capitalism, going though crisis after crisis, trying not to be part of the sellout, whilst keeping your standards and working political is nearly impossible... I am tired too. I feel you.

Thank you Mensch Meier! I hope you have the greatest closingweekend ever and that you can sleep well afterwards and find your welldeserved rest. I am sad, that you will be gone.

Playing at the mother of all alternative festivals means the world to me and this was definitely the gig of my life! Playing at seebühne has been a dream for me since i visited the festival the first time in 2016.
