This work makes use of recordings of a number of pianos, including two extended range Bösendorfers, one in the UK, one in Montreal, as well as a disintegrating Blüthner of somewhat questionable provenance. It uses a number of techniques for composing for variable numbers of channels and for large-scale loudspeaker systems. Böse was premiered at the 2010 Inventionen Festival in Berlin. This version is stereo/binaural.

A multichannel exploration of treating synthesised sound sources badly, allowing them to interact, and coming to terms with the idiosyncrasies of my own brain.

This is one of the works from the final portfolio of my Master's degree. It's made entirely from recordings of water taken from a trip to the French Pyrenees in May 2018, and was composed as four separate movements but can be listened to in one continuous sitting. The movements are detailed below:

L'eau des Montagnes (September 2018)

Movement one of the acousmatic/mixed-media work "Death". Using recordings of breath from the inside of the mouth, this piece explores the theme of death, breath and asphyxiation.
