amalia is honouring a process we call ego death. this is a self-realisation occurrence, which happened along the journey of her recent solo-travels. Amalia learnt that, irrespective of the journey, each mile is a step closer to her goals and treasure. much like The Alchemist in Paulo Coelho's book, Amalia believes in the transmutation of metal to gold. Coinciding with the transformation from dark to light, hence the name: The Alchemist. she uses this as a metaphor for life as she continues to transmute restlessness into creativity and uniquely curated artistic self-expression. this means the ego dies during the process and there is a re-birth of truths every single poem. her biggest inspiration is Maya Angelou. the quote The Alchemist lives by is: there is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you. blessings and love. continue to rise.
