Abigail Aroha Jensen, a multi-disciplinary artist and sometimes DJ based in Tāmaki Makaurau. She goes by the moniker M4URI M4STA for her exploration into ORO - ORO being the realm of sound. She recently released her debut PŪORO PLAY V0L 001 -  a soundscape of tāonga pūoro, wai, debris and various urban field recordings she took travelling between Kirikiriroa and Parnell train station. On the show, she weaves her favourite lockdown tracks  with taonga pūoro to send you on a journey within. 

“To understand mauri is to acknowledge the inherent life force in all things. All things carrying importance - All things to be explored. 

I understand mauri less as being able to be manipulated and more of a force that bends and grows . 

Mauri is immutable yet has the power to transform through our relationship with it. The mauri within oro transcends time and space.

Exploring oro in unison with hā (breath), Te Taiao (the natural world) and our surroundings connects you to where you are, what you see, hear and feel.”

[IT] In Giugno è il turno di cinque produttori italiani, in concomitanza con i concerti nel paese, che segnerà anche l’inizio di una nuova serie intitolata [Untitled].

L’obiettivo principale rimane sempre la presentazione di generi musicali ‘underground’, con più concentrazione sulla ‘location’ che supporta il progetto.
Con il lavoro di cinque musicisti provenienti da tre città diverse (Roma, Milano e Brescia), i pezzi sono un denso riassunto delle loro radici e delle sonorità che caratterizzano i loro stili.

L’EP è un viaggio attraverso ritmi intricati, campioni vocali cinematici e oscuri sintetizzatori; le quattro tracce, tese allo stretto utilizzo nei club, sono perfettamente adattabili nelle situazioni live, racchiudendo le molteplici sfaccettature della odierna scena della dance music.

[ENG] In June it is the turn of five Italian producers, in conjunction with concerts in the country, which will also mark the beginning of a new series entitled [Untitled].

The main objective always remains the presentation of 'underground' musical genres, with more concentration on the 'location' that supports the project.
With the work of five musicians from three different cities (Rome, Milan and Brescia), the pieces are a dense summary of their roots and the sounds that characterize their styles.

The EP is a journey through intricate rhythms, cinematic vocal samples and dark synths; the four tracks, aimed at strict use in clubs, are perfectly adaptable in live situations, encompassing the many facets of today's dance music scene.

VSB is comprised of Madison Van Staden and Amelia Berry. Madison is a songwriter and producer best known for her work in sensuous experimental pop group Moody.v & the Menstrual Cycle.
Teaming with Amelia Berry, an electronic music producer and songwriter otherwise known as @amamelia. She is also one half of synth-pop duo Fimo and creates ambient soundscapes as Old Chips. Both Madison and Amelia play in queer pop-punk trio Babyteeth.

"VSB would like to dedicate this music to Reuben Winter. For everything you taught us, and for the rare kindness, love, and respect, you showed us as two queer women in electronic music."
