"Boxwork might be a new name to some, but the South London based producer has been getting established underground dance music heads hot under the collar for some time now.

Tough, dance floor percussion is the order of the day, twinned with intelligent sample work drawing from a rich and diverse immersion in hip hop, funk and soul. 

Hot off the back of a guest mix for Queen of The Underground, Mary Anne Hobbs and guest slots on Seb Chew's Rinse FM show - Boxwork's most recent venture sees the young producer remixing flavour of the month and hotly tipped vocalist, Py. The reworking is Boxwork at his best - rolling vocal cuts come together with crisp drums and uplifting stabs - classy, inspired stuff indebted to the likes of Groove Chronicles et al.

Support for the artist's original work has come in thick and fast - unreleased tracks have been a staple for Mary Anne Hobbs on her Saturday night XFM show, as well as popping up in sets from Hackman, Tessela, South London Ordnance, Thefft and Seb Chew.

Every now and then an artist manages to find that perfect balance between musicality and dance floor potential - and Boxwork hits that nail cleanly on the head. With a keenly anticipated two part EP forthcoming on 12" via South London based imprint LNUK Records - be rest assured you'll be hearing a lot more from this talented beatsmith."
