Translation:

The Mul Mantra translates as the root mantra from which a spiritual foundation is built. The Siri Guru Granth Sahib is based upon the concepts of the Mul Mantra.

Mantras und Lieder wirken oft intuitiv. Erläuterungen verhelfen manchmal dazu, dass man ein Lied wie Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram noch besser versteht.
Das Mantra öffnet das Herz, bringt die Energien zum Schwingen, lässt dich Freude erfahren, ist ein Rama Kirtan. Lass das Mantra auf dich wirken, noch besser: Singe es mit, rezitiere es, versuche es. 
Es gibt verschiedene Weisen, wie man den Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram Kirtan übersetzen kann. Grundsätzlich ist die Bedeutung eines Kirtans mehr als die Bedeutung der einzelnen Worte. Für einen Bhakta, einen Gottesverehrer, einen Kirtanisten, ist ein Kirtan ein Lobpreis Gottes. Oft sind sich auch in Indien die Sänger nicht bewusst, was die Bedeutung der Worte ist. Sie spüren einfach Bhakti, Hingabe, Liebe, Gottesnähe.

This song is inspired with the Nahuatl Language of the Mexicatl people. When studying with their ways and their way of praying this song came through to give thanks and gratitude to the elements of creation, and the different names for the forces of creation. 

There are also words that are from the Wixarika tribe of Mexico. 
This song is giving thanks to the deer spirit, that guides and protects these people and many people of these sacred lands, giving its blessing and guidance through out the world.

I want to share a few words about this song and why it is the opener for me showing myself with my music.

Within the last two years, several people in my field chose to leave this earth very early. One of them was Philipp. We shared some intense years of our lives together 2011 until 2014. Both in our early twenties, just trying to find ourselves in this crazy city, it has been a turbulent and incredibly deep time. Truly a soul connection. After we both separated our ways, what remained after a while was a deep Love, at least this is what I can tell.

11 months ago he decided to end his life and left many who loved him behind. Without knowing anything about the actual reasons of course, what I deeply feel is, that he was so longing to step into his power and fly and yet didn’t find his place in this world. He had many gifts, was passionate about rhythms and dreamt of working as a music producer. As we spent nights and nights experimenting with music producing together, I took over some of his equipment after he passed away.

I myself am since a little while slowly coming out of a very dark phase of my life. And for me as well it hasn’t been an easy decision to stay on this earth, to live this life. Yet I am feeling a sometimes quiet but strong voice in my heart, telling me that I shall stay. There is this deep longing to fly, to be big, to express, to expand beyond. And a melancholy about the limitation of being human, that just makes it not so easy to fly and expand as our souls remember.

But it is possible.

This song speaks to all of us, who are longing to spread their wings, who want to become all they can be.
This song is a prayer for all our loved ones who entered another realm, that they may be able to spread their wings over there, to fly into the light, to find the relief they couldn’t find here on earth.
And I am singing this song to myself, to encourage myself to follow my heart, to accept myself as I am, to say yes to this life.
