Back again with an auditory ear sermon is Conoley Ospovat and today’s Delayed premiere, ‘The Nearness of Divinity’. Not one to rest on his laurels after releasing a stellar LP, which you can read a review of here, Ospovat’s next venture is a four-tracker off his own label, Continental Drift Records. Titled, ‘So Thankful’ is exactly that, an auditory hug for the senses, and ‘The Nearness of Divinity’ brings a smile to the face. Full-bodied kicks, and a winding bassline whirl through to some simple, yet endearing melodic notes. Almost a perfect Springtime match if you will, feelings of hope and longing for those warm coming months.

The Nearness of Divinity and in turn, So Thankful should be out on the 13th of April.

PREMIERE: Conoley Ospovat - The Nearness Of Divinity [Continental Drift Records]

Deep and twisting syncopated beats are a staple here at Delayed. There’s something about the off-kilter sounds that truly pique our interest and ears. Something off the beaten path, a bit less heard, a bit more unique. Today’s premiere from South African producer, Shervaan Bergsteedt is another foray into that realm.

To set the scene, Thantophobia elicits images of a starry night sky, sitting around a campfire flanked by nature’s animalistic hum, providing an ebb and flow of life. The various leads and synths giving voice to those indistinct animalistic chatter. The thump of the kick pulsing through the night, and a voice flowing through it all, almost like a breeze.

Thantophobia, and the rest of the ‘Cockaigne’ EP is out on Round Robin Recordings April 30th.

Reconnue comme leader dans le milieu électronique à Hong Kong et parmi le peu de femmes productrices qui ont su se faire un nom en Asie, Ocean Lam tient des résidences dans les meilleurs clubs underground de la ville (Oma et Social Room), en plus d’être Directrice Artistique et Co-founder à Social Room. Elle a également fait l’opening de Sven Vath, Jimpster, Efdemin, Axel Boman, Luke
Hess, Nick Hoppner, Oliver Deutschmann, Sammy Dee et bien d'autres à de nombreux évènements et festivals régionaux, tels que Clockenflap (HK), Sonar (HK), Altn8 Festival (HK), Wonderfruit (Thailand), Epizode (Vietnam) INTRO (Mongolie) et plus récemment en 2019, à Boiler Room lors du Festival Shi Fu Miz à Hong Kong.
En plus d’être DJ, promoter, organisatrice d’évènements et directrice artistique, Ocean Lam est aussi productrice. Elle a déjà sorti plusieurs productions sur le label Typhoon 8 Records (HK), Boulevard Records London (UK) et Moteur Ville Musique (Detroit), ce qui lui a permis d’être booké en Europe où elle a effectué de belles tournées en Allemagne (Melt! And Feel Festival), Italie et Suisse.
