AEON009 is expertly crafted by AEON labelboss and veritable wunderkind of the multi-faceted anologue electronic, German DJ and producer Alex Niggemann.
As a firm believer that a collection of music should unravel and develop like the plot of a good book, this EP is an apt offering from the German maestro, who has recently seen (and is still seeing) underground chart success with his release ‘Materium’ on Poker Flat, as the likes of Sven Vath, Tale of Us and Mano le Tough continue to drop it to revering masses across the globe.
Following successful releases on Poker Flat, Compost Black Label and Last Night On Earth to name a few, ‘Abaton’ carries on his chameleonic success. The title track highlights Niggemann’s affinity with texture and genre- defying sound, as he mixes ethereal chords with stark ashen synths for a truly goose bump- inducing musical experience.
First on remix duty is the outfit Quantum Entanglement, comprised of Lee Jones and Fink, who provide a somewhat mellow interpretation, leading into a satisfying deeper progression.
Irish producer Chymera evokes an eery landscape with his rework of the track, with the tentative sound of synths juxtaposed with murkier sonic trails and a tiptoeing bassline.
Niggemann rounds off the EP with ‘Tripping Minds’ - a maze of rhythmic curlicues that dance around melancholic pads and descend over a bassline that truly packs a punch, causing the listener to yearn for a dancefloor, or reminisce on a past moment of musical clarity that can only come from the most prolific of
music.
The fifth track is a Beatport exclusive in the form of a Lee Jones remix.
This collection of intelligent, almost lugubrious sonic expression is a fitting display of how far Alex Niggemann, and indeed his AEON label have come; catapulting you into a darker, more aggressive and impressive world of musical capability.

Amanic loves synthesizers. This fact isn't only obvious in his productions, you can also feel that in his DJ sets. As a perfectionist and visionary, he often plays around with all kinds of sounds to make his music a versatile- and unique pleasure. When you look behind the curtain you will recognize that he's not just a producer of electronic music, he's a musician who also surprises with a piano piece or very complex off-beat sound structures every now and then. 

Leave Me Alone is the debut within the Manual family of the Leipzig based artist and sees him not only on the production side of things, but also showcasing his talent as a vocalist. A melancholic and dark piece of art clearly influenced by the sounds of the eighties, this will for sure get stuck in your head for days!

On remix duties we've invited Yoram, a Dutch producer who has been on our radar for quite some time now mainly because of his outstanding work for Marc Poppcke's Crossfrontier Audio label. He adds a dose of funk to the original and brings it to the progressive loving crowd with his sustained layers of bassy synth sounds.

But that's not all folks! Because we see Amanic back as a vocalist on the Particle track by Phonovoltaik & Micrologue, a truly stunning piece of deep and moody electronic music that comes in the original version and an interpretation by the man himself!

Maripoza's next voyage through the galaxy brings you a brilliant selection of songs from cologne based musician duo Tool 8.
TooL8 are Horst and Max, two Bergisch guys (residents of BergWacht) are a fixture of BergWacht for a long time and had their first label-signing with “Schmitzhöhe”, the debut release on BergWacht Records.
Since the beginning of 2011 Horst and Max are tuning tracks together as TooL…8. Their productions can be classed with melodicatmosphereelectronicatech, and often are like a pure blossoming of emotions and feelings, which they try to perform in their own manner.
The second release will be out on the Berlin label Maripoza Records with Voyage EP. Four tracks the two guys produced with all their musical input and feelings, they get the last two years.
The track "Voyage d'ete" was the result of the experiences of the summer 2012, much feelings and nice memories coming up by hearing the track. Voyage d'ete is france and means "the summer`s journey".

Im Vordergrund steht treibender, elektronisch-technoider Sound, sowie dem Ehrgeiz vielseitige Elemente zu verarbeiten und zum passenden Club das passende Set zu finden. Oftmals führt das dazu, dass AMANIC im Club meist anders klingt, als es der ein oder andere erwarten möge.

Er legt außerdem Wert auf Abwechslung und experimentelle Elemente, ganz egal ob tiefe Flächen, verspielte Effekte, Kooperationen mit anderen Künstlern oder genreuntypische Remixes. Hauptsache anders. 

Wirft man einen Blick hinter die Fassade, so stellt man schnell fest, dass seine musikalische Welt auch in andere Bereiche reicht. Inzwischen ist AMANIC u.a. bei „Northern Lite“ als zusätzlicher Produzent tätig und ein wichtiger Teil der Kreativabteilung. 

Als Gründer von Ascending Branch, betreibt er außerdem, gemeinsam mit vertrauten DJs und Freunden ein kleines Label, welches versucht, musikalischen Ansprüchen, auf spezielle Art und Weise, gerecht zu werden.
