This track discusses various observations and experiences when reflecting on the city I was born in. Topics include growing up in SF, the impact of gentrification, unexpected and uncontrollable changes, those left behind, lost loved ones, and ultimately heartbreak. Sample speech is Alicia Garza speaking at Jabulani SFSU Grad ceremony 2016.

4. UnWelcome ft. A-D

This song is inspired by West Oakland and what I notice as reoccurring cycles that confine us and threaten to stunt growth. We all experience things we can't control and can only accept. However, the way in which we let it impact us as we continue to create is the choice we have he power to make. We still ultimately choose what space we choose to create from, so I encourage a free mind while maintaining deep roots. Long Live Professor X!

Inspired by the classes of students I was honored to share time with during After School from 2011 - 2016 and meet again at West Oakland Middle. Ms. Johnson Loves You Forever. Shout out Big Daddy Kane "WHO AM I" featuring Gamilah Shabazz. Oh - and Ms. Ambrose Clan!

6. Street Boy

Started as a poem when I was 16 years old, depressed and drowning in grief. Beat by my uncle Kwane AKA K Rebel. 143 Forever. Discovering myself through deconstruction was a powerful journey that taught me how interconnected we all are, how impactful others actions can be, and how decisive one can be about healing and self-creation as well. Destiny didn't prescribe depression. Destiny told me find your way to the end of the tunnel by any means. Writing allowed me to do that.

Inspired by De La Soul's "I Am I Be", Fam Be is a single featuring most of my moms side of the family and including the only sister I have from my dad's side.
