Project YUJ has faithfully and authentically bridged the gap of the Western and Indian traditions through their brand of music, Neo-Carnatic Funk. From the slick modern arrangement of Deekshitar's classic kriti “Mahaganapathim”, to the upbeat montunos of “Maputo”, to the korvais of  “Reethigowla Blues”, all the way to the Flecktones - inspired, “Banjo Rumble”, the album consistently surprises and changes course, keeping the listener surprised, guessing and eager for more.
