Tribal drums and gaitas meld harmoniously, akin to a mesmerizing prayer to the rivers, guiding us along our path. They serve as a reminder of how to embrace our destiny and reunite with the ocean.

AguaMar evolves rhythmically, akin to the journey of a river through the land. It commences with a captivating percussive beat and Katherine’s ethereal female vocals, gradually transitioning into an electrifying electronic rhythm accompanied by tribal chants, led by the commanding vocals of Kaiman Jimenez (also known as Oscar Jimenez). Ultimately, it circles back to Katherine’s gentle vocals, reminiscent of returning home.

Amaru Tribe invites us on a spiritual odyssey where South American heritage intertwines seamlessly with electronic beats, forming branches of the same musical tree.

The new single “La Tribu” showcases the unique and powerful sound of Amaru Tribe. The song marks the inception of a new musical genre in Australia: Oceanic Cumbia (in Spanish Cumbia Oceanica).
The combination of contemporary instrumentation and traditional sounds from South America, Australasia and beyond creates the magic of the Amaru Tribe experience. The addition of the charango, the tambora (an Afro-Colombian drum), the Didgeridoo and the Gaita (a Colombian indigenous flute) contributes to the band’s musical intention, also exploring an electronic identity that blends smoothly with its traditional sound without losing the tribal feel of the band.
