[PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] proudly presents our 52nd release — aLBUM by Scottish producer and musical alchemist dESUS (@dj-desus), hailing from Glasgow. A master of blending profound dub with the hypnotic essence of dub techno, dESUS crafts a sonic journey that maps a philosophical star chart of compositions, opening gateways to another dimension.

dESUS — aLBUM unfolds as a collection of nine tracks, each a self-contained universe interwoven by a shared concept of sonic mysticism:

Alex Bober’s music is a gentle, tender retrospective of an innocent heart. The main themes addressed by the artist are childhood, nature and memories. Soft textures filled with naturalness and uncomplicated melodism are a characteristic feature of his music. Alex is a passionate sound artist exploring the naivety in the world of sound, his composing approach reminds of children's drawings - sincere and beautiful in their imperfections.
Bober began experimenting with sound in 2015, gradually paving his own way and shaping his own style. In 2017, he begins releasing his work under his own name. Alex has released two LPs and is now working on the third one.

Sasha is a trained violinist and choir vocalist who grew up with an addiction to music. Her first ventures into her own productions were a strong mix of distorted electronics, a far cry from her classical background. With the studio foundations in place she started producing a multitude of related genres like drum n bass, ambient and electronic music. Inspired by the dark ambient people in her life she surrounded herself with she slowly drifted into the scene and started turning her productions towards the depths. She has described dark ambient as something that gives her a freedom of thought in relation to the complexity of the world of wonders, a mix between the simple and the difficult.

Deep Breakfast 017 - protoU

I present you the 8th special podcast in the serie. A 2 hour ambient set created by Synthbiont & Anassimandrus. Enjoy the travel in the abyss of ambient music.

Bio:
Synthbiont & Anassimandrus is the new ambient/experimental project born at the end of 2018 by the collaboration between Nicolò Faggiani and Tommaso Gobbo. Their musical background comes from different musical experiences as DJs, vinyl collectors, and founders of two web-radios dedicated respectively to electronic music and dub-reggae. Synthbiont & Anassimandrus was developed to research the deepest ambient atmospheres, creating musical journeys where the listener can immerse itself in a parallel sound universe. The idea behind the mixing process is to elaborate different digital and analog sources, editing samples and tracks, and creating a unique soundscape. This way of experiencing music brought them to approach musical realities such as Ozora and Mo:Dem festival, Silent Season record label, and entering in contact with artists such as Mental (Visionary Mind records). 

About the mix:
This second mixtape was recorded on June 2019, after six months since the first debut. During this period, tracks and records were selected having in mind a specific musical discourse: the first hour of drone and ambient soundfields are meant to gradually introduce the listener to the main core of the mix where the IDM, minimalist, and experimental section takes place. Then, after this introspective segment, the mix evolves again in the final and more hectic part, reaching its peak in the finale with a special tribute to Alessandro Cortini.
