Winds Alight is out now through Eyegaze. Two tunes that are a bit different in style from my other releases. I wanted them to be shorter, more concise structures that explored a set of variations from simple ideas.

For Winds, the piece grew out of a short recording of a friend playing a hang drum in India. 

For Alight, it was a small chord sequence that kicked off the writing process - going through different types of variation.

Central to writing these tracks was a theme of avoiding thinking about what other people would think about a sound, or what I think other artists would do in certain musical situations. I wanted to get rid of that - to simply have more trust in my own musical instinct. If I like it, I'll use it.
