Dance Portal is a co-creation founded by myself Amber Wolf Moon & Felix Bourbeau (Mossy Tree) that is an intentional, pure-hearted offering for our beloved dance community here in the Kootenays in Beautiful British Columbia. 

I have been offering Ecstatic Dance journeys for 8 years and finally took the courageous leap to DJ Live with the loving support of my soul ally - Felix. We both live and breathe for offering our purpose and sacred service in this way. 

This set was an emergence of welcoming the light on Winter Solstice - a time I often avoided always chasing the tropical sun and resisted the medicine of what the inner and outer winter season has to offer for growth and creative expansion.

I am so beyond grateful for all my loved ones who came out and danced to this Sunday Morning Soulstice Cacao set anchored in the heart and grounded in connection. This was definitely a peak experience of my whole life. It was also our biggest turn out of Dance Portal which was a celebration in itself.

Dance Portal Soulstice Mix

Once upon a time there was a dear beloved soul sister who opened my heart with her presence naturally. This soul sister and I journeyed into deep self-love, somatic healing and unpacking all the layers needed to call in sacred union. 

Simultaneously, I adored my beloved soul brother and journeyed with him on many dance floors and ceremonial spaces with feeling so much playful heart expansion in his presence. 

These two came together as one bringing infinite love to my heart celebrating their sacred union as a dream they have called in to unite.
 
Prior to their wedding coming in the summer they had a Sacred Union Medicine Ceremony with beloved Huachuma at the Sentinel Retreat Centre in Kaslo, British Columbia - which is known to be a portal place for many as there has been profound medicine ceremonies held on this particular land, vision and maloca.

We gathered in a circle of 18 communing with the medicine and stretching open our hearts together in reverence for the love of Heather & Dustin - my family. Such a blessing to be led into ceremony with beautiful icaros and songs by my dear brother and sister who I have sat and grown with in many medicine ceremonies by now. 

There were many in the circle I felt deeply connected to and there was an ease of coherence. Lot's of full circles too. One being that Dustin and Heather danced in the same maloca 3 years ago on my birthday before they united in partnership. 

This set didn't get to be fully embraced in a dance journey as ceremony and the medicine took us elsewhere to keep the focus on honoring and blessing the love of Heather and Dustin. We did put the recording on at the end after we closed the ceremony with Heather & Dustin sharing their commitments with each other and the circle showering them with rose petals and cacao.

There was still a little boogie that took place with a few of us dancing in celebration with then sitting with the beautiful medicine of rapesito with the music supporting the process of integration and closing. 

Big thanks to the man that I share everyday sacred union with who is not per se my partner but a dear beloved who I am blessed to share so much time, purpose and co-creation with. We were together when I was mixing this set and he was making chocolates for the ceremony so ultimately this set was created from sacred union and offered to the sacred union of my soul fam. 

Felix also mentored and collaborated with me on this set. There was an abundance of love to sit beside him in ceremony that upleveled our connection and anchored in the beauty of what we share. Eternally grateful to feel consistent secure attachment with this sacred mirror ally.

Sacred Union Medicine Ceremony - 08/03/25

Jen & I connected through her looking for someone to create sacred ceremony for her wedding. I  invited her to come to my women's circle and from there she attended a women's series, retreat and ecstatic dances I facilitated. We created many healing portals in so many unique, special ways. It has been an honor to witness this beloved sister rise into her power, wholeness and inner beauty!

The invitation to facilitate this women's retreat for Jen's intentional bachelorette gathering at the epic New Denver Lodge in the Kootenays of British Columbia Canada was a dream come true. I felt deeply embodied in my purpose with my heart wide open being able to share my gifts in this way through leading the circle of women on the New Moon Eclipse through different rituals and somatic practices, teach yoga, circle outside sharing our vulnerability and co-creating deep safety to be more of who we are and to DJ a more non-ecstatic dance vibe - more playful party celebration where all the ladies let loose.

Jen's Women's Retreat

This was my 3rd Dance Portal live DJ set straight after the celebration of my 33rd Birthday Celebration with the intention to embody Emergence and inspire that for the dancers.

Felt like a home-coming of upleveling in my art of DJing and attuning to the community.

As always - a big thanks to my soul ally Mossy Tree (Felix Bourbeau) who helps to fine tune the set in the preparation phase, offer guidance and collaborates bringing in his live music transmissions of didge, flute and kalimba. We were riding some beautiful waves from the night prior of Djing for the first time together for our friends that rippled into the Sunday Morning vibe!
