Space By Step

This track comes from something i did during a very long night, and i asked some friends and musicians to add their own vibes to the track only with improvisations. Then i spent hours and hours to select their best shot and put everything together :)
No midi on this track (just my Alesis electronic Drum) everything analogic recorded with 2 mic.

I met a great singer from Sri-Lanka/Australia in Paris, she just came in my home studio, she listened and liked a random keyboard loop i did, then she just wrote lyrics on it, and she recorded directly :)
Then it took me a lot of hours to do the instrumentation...

Here are 3 tracks made for a television documentary about the armenian genocide that happened 100 years ago ... 

For the percussion part i used a UDU, some bells, cymbals, shakers and a triangle. For the wind part i used a xaphoon, a duduk and a weird handmade flûte from sahara .. 
I also used some electronic stuff to make shapes and textures in the track.

This track has been started by Eric Tinkerness, he recorded 5 improvisations loop with his cello, then I decided to ask musicians to play improvisations on the Cello loop, i added the rythmic part (and some chorus because it's so funny to do) and tried to make something out of all their ideas !

I was making this instrumental, and a strange mouse mistake made me drop an acapela track from "Bounty Killa - Dead Zone"  instead of a crash sample!
