I sit in peace, as the dust blows around weakly. Behind me, a bicycle glows a neon-blue; a lighthouse to any who venture out this far. If any would. The light on the horizon shimmers in a thousand unique colors, dancing to the rhythm of some unheard melody. It reaches for the billions of speckles high above, hopeful, but falling short.  My eyes closed, I calm my mind as my breathing slows. Sensations make themselves known, as I let the fleeting thoughts pass by without attention. My body dissolves into the dusty, starry world outside, and I leave it behind as I become united with the music. In this moment, the stars, the air, the Playa and I...  We are one.

Some hours after the Temple of Grace had lived up to its name and danced to its demise, a wanderer grabbed a fold-up chair, a phone, and a Bluetooth speaker, and walked the kilometre-and-a-bit to a nice spot on the open playa next to a well-lit art piece before setting up shop. As he pressed play, he let the stress of the week wash over him as he watched the lights dancing on the horizon, the bikes riding by, the on-foot wanderers of the desert (creatively-illuminated and darkwad alike), the boats and octopi and starships driving past...  Although the breeze blowing around the wanderer had cooled to a chill, and the dust picked up, threatening to bring itself to a crescendo as if to perform an encore of the previous night, he had reached a state of contentment. It may have been truer to say that "contentment was", as when he reflected later he could not be sure that "he", whatever that was, was even there to perceive it.  What he could be sure of was this: that there, among the EL-wire and alkalinity, was bliss.

Inspired by a second trip to the Burning Man Festival, a mix of my favourite spacey/floaty ambient tunes created for burners to lie on the open playa and stare at a million stars in the sky....

This mix was created from tracks which I took to Black Rock City, and listeined to under the stars after the sun went down... Strictly for chilling, not for dancing.....

Burning Desert Mix

I have been listening to ambient/chillout since the age of 20... From this age, I went to many festivals and saw other DJs play this magical music in breathtaking locations such as mountains, fields, beaches, caves, lost welsh valleys and forests.

It has been a dream of mine for a while to play this music... A chance came along to live the dream, and I plan to provide some quality mixes which will give the listeners as much pleasure as I have over the years.... 

All of my mixes are fluffy, based on melodies and ambient soundscapes.....  I want to provide your ears with magical soundtracks.......
