"Places We Could Have Gone" was initially a piano sketch for my 2018 solo piano album Sanctuary Sessions. I recently revisited and recorded the idea in the same space, then further manipulated the recordings through my modular rig to add atmosphere. The track took on an incredibly nostalgic quality that made me reflect on the past year in lockdown and dream about all the new people and places that we might have missed out on during that time.

Did you ever hear the cranes when they fly by on their journeys in autumn and spring? There is nothing like it. To me it sometimes feels like they'd waken my deepest desires only with their presence at the sky and their lovely call.

Reinforce

A collaboration between Hong Kong-based ambient artists Antarctic Wastelands and Norvik, Deliverance is the final track on Antarctic Wastelands' new EP Requiem. Written in the first half of 2020, and inspired by the overwhelming feeling of loss that is often present in our society, Requiem is a journey from darkness into serenity, culminating in Deliverance.
