Eclipse of the Soul

The victory over the Stellar Dominion was but a fleeting moment of respite for Eira and the Celestial Guardians. As the dust settled on Nova Prime, a new darkness crept across the horizon, casting a shadow over their hard-won freedom.

In the aftermath of the rebellion, whispers spread like wildfire through the streets of Nova Prime. Rumors of a clandestine faction emerging from the shadows, wielding power beyond imagination, sent shivers down the spines of even the bravest souls.

Eira, haunted by visions of the past and burdened by the weight of her newfound leadership, felt the tendrils of doubt creeping into her soul. Despite their victory, she couldn't shake the feeling that their struggle had only just begun.

One fateful night, as the stars shimmered in the sky above, Eira found herself drawn to the ancient ruins of the city outskirts. Guided by an inexplicable pull, she ventured into the heart of the dilapidated structures, her senses tingling with anticipation.

Amidst the crumbling walls and overgrown foliage, Eira stumbled upon a chamber bathed in an eerie blue light. At its center stood a pulsating orb, its ethereal glow casting long shadows across the chamber.

As she approached the mysterious artifact, Eira felt a surge of energy coursing through her veins, enveloping her in a cocoon of otherworldly power. Visions of cosmic landscapes and celestial beings danced before her eyes, their whispers echoing in the recesses of her mind.

In that moment of transcendence, Eira experienced a revelation unlike any before. She glimpsed the true nature of the cosmos, where the boundaries between light and darkness, life and death, blurred into obscurity.

But with enlightenment came a chilling realization – the darkness that loomed over Nova Prime was not merely a product of external forces but a manifestation of the shadows within. The Eclipse of the Soul, a phenomenon spoken of in hushed tones by ancient seers, threatened to consume them all.

With newfound resolve, Eira emerged from the chamber, her spirit ablaze with purpose. She knew that their struggle against oppression was far from over, but she also understood that the key to victory lay not in the external battles they waged but in the internal ones they faced.

As dawn broke over the horizon, Eira returned to her comrades, her eyes ablaze with determination. The Eclipse of the Soul had cast its shadow over Nova Prime, but she refused to let it snuff out the light of hope that burned within their hearts.

Little did she know, the true test of their resolve was yet to come, as forces beyond their wildest imagination conspired to plunge the galaxy into darkness once more. But with courage as their beacon and unity as their strength, Eira and the Celestial Guardians stood ready to face whatever trials lay ahead, for they knew that the fate of Nova Prime and the cosmos itself hung in the balance.

"Chasing Dusk", my latest Electronic-Alternative composition, is an emotional piece, which was written over many days and nights. As I write music, I often find my mood or style changes so frequently, that it causes my records to contain a vast degree of melodic contrast. Through out the record, you can truly feel all of the emotions that I felt during the writing process; from uplifting and powerful, to isolated and distant. As a composer, most people note upon the contrast, and the perception of 'time' in my works. Personally, this is one of the most beautiful things you can strive for in music, as it not only has a greater impact on listeners, but demonstrates the true feeling behind a piece. Thank you for taking the time to listen, and I hope you enjoy, "Chasing Dusk".
