We bring you ultramodern remixes of our liveliest tracks from 2015 on the latest EP, Steyoyoke Anniversary Vol. 04, to celebrate the new year, including remixes by: Philipp Kempnich, Cid Inc, Oliver Schories, MIDAS 104, and Jonas Saalbach.

Philip Kempnich remixes Aaryon and Ran Salman's 'Riptide', fundamentally shifting the patterns of sound consistently to leave you with an ever-pleased, tingly aural sensation. Cid Inc brings us his take on Nick Devon's 'The Poem' featuring Miroir, taking advantage of the earthy bass line through a complimentary arrangement. Oliver Schories faced Soul Button and BLANCAh's 'Rising Silence' turning this track into a twisted fantasy guaranteed to engulf you. MIDAS 104 approaches Animal Picnic's 'Gravity' with a bold confidence evident in the layout of this true anthem of ethereal techno, with a hint of funk! Lastly, but not leastly, Jonas Saalbach remixes Dahu and MPathy's 'Shattered' sticking to the darkness that is, while adding minimalistic elements to make this track simultaneously sink in and pop out in the most unpredictable and astounding ways.

Thank you to all our long-time fans that have loved us from the start, and to our new fans who we welcome with open arms into our family. Life After Music is Messive Muzik’s debut release on Ambious Records and a glimpse into who these guys are behind the noise. The EP’s opener, ‘Exotics’, takes us back to the future with a deep and timeless house track, as funky, rolling bass stabs bounce beneath hypnotic vocal cuts and a trumpet-y synth. Second up, ‘Light’ is a clear indication of the group’s listening-roots in Deep House before the genre’s destined popularity and increase in educated listeners. They left us with a track that wastes no time getting deep and spacey - lead by a growling bassline progression that finds itself submerged in full use of frequency, texture and tone, ‘You Know’ is a treat to the sonic senses.

Hot off the back of the ‘We Go Walking’ EP from label boss Ryan Murgatroyd at the end of February, Swoon Recordings continues its prolific run of form with the announcement of its next formidable offering, this time from Aero Manyelo with his ‘Hold You Forever’ EP.

Out now via Swoon, ‘Hold You Forever’ sees Murgatroyd enlist the hotly-tipped South African producer for his first full EP on the label from another artist, and Manyelo’s debut outing on the flourishing Johnnesburg-based imprint.

Kick-starting the three-part package with the emotive title track ‘Hold You Forever (feat. Unnamed People)’, Aero makes his intentions knows from the off as he lays down a mesmerizing eight-minute cut complete with deep melodic basslines, afro house rhythms and a hypnotic top-line courtesy of fellow countryman Unnamed People. 

Next up, Murgatroyd jumps on for an exclusive club-ready remix, reimagining the original into a late night, main room affair, before Manyelo closes out the EP in emphatic fashion with the impressive closer ‘Dongo’.

Speaking about the release, Ryan Murgatroyd commented:
“I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Aero to Swoon for his label debut. This will be the first of many forthcoming EPs over 2020 that focus on championing upcoming South African talent as we look to solidify our sonic signature, combining fresh Afro House elements with our usual cinematic and dancefloor-friendly melodic techno vibes”.

A mainstay on the South African house music circuit, Aero Manyelo has enjoyed a steady rise to success over the past few years, with hefty support from industry tastemakers Dixon and Âme, a 2018 mix for Get Physical’s Body Language Compilation and a burgeoning live presence on the national festival and club scene.
