Next at bat in the Sepalcure remix arena is a motely old crew: UK parvenu Lee Walker, American polymath LA-4A and Bristol doyen Appleblim are the hitters, “Brother Forest”, “Devil Inside” and “Dub of” their respective pitchers.

On the up and up ever since his ubiquitous DJ Deeon collaboration “Freak Like Me” took the charts by storm earlier this year, Lee Walker brings his youthful zest to Folding Time’s ninth track “Brother Forest” – a neo-classic approach to house music that appeals to younger and seasoned battlers alike, visceral to the max. LA-4A (aka Ambivalent) and Appleblim take a more seductive, cerebral path: the former fashioning Angelica Bess’s vocals on “Devil Inside” into a broken beat serenade that builds along an acidic crescendo, the latter taking cues from the title to create a literal “Dub of” the original with all the flair of an OG. For its 303rd release, Tresor Records is glad to present a commissioned work by Donato Dozzy.

Rome based production maestro and DJ extraordinaire Donato Dozzy is unanimously considered as an illustrious leading light in all techno artforms.

Along his long career and extensive discography, Dozzy has proven to use his instruments most interesting ways, always re-inventing his music, always presenting new approaches to both the deeper and the more rhythmic forms of electronic music. It was self-evident to Tresor Records to enroll Donato Dozzy’s talents for this assignment, a nod to the seminal Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer.

The result is a relentless collection of radical, propulsive and bleeding-heart acid tracks. In Dozzy’s words.

Donato Dozzy wishes to dedicate this work to his lifelong friend Filo.

Sawlin's debut EP on Delsin off shoot Ann Aimee went down so well it only made sense to have him craft another. 'Eviment' is that EP, made up of three more deep and subterranean techno cuts that play with plenty of textures.

Title track 'Eviment' is a tortured and paranoid offering that has a nagging vocal stretched out over splashy claps and a foreboding bottom end thud. It's vast and dark, spare and haunting where 'Kretze' is a bigger and bolder track. The analogue percussion and serrated lines all sound old and aged as they mark out a scraping, dystopian vision of a world well away from here.

'Sour Tear' has a more syncopated, techno-funk groove but is still padded out with plenty of dubby undercurrents. Sawlin's percussion sounds are wholly non standard, from clanking metal to twanging strings, everything sounds like a real world sound, which makes his music as arresting as anyone's, despite being made firmly for the techno backroom.
