The Menace & LOCA are a duo from Scotland.

LOCA has headlined events with the Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Eddie Halliwell & Fergie to name a few. She is one of the biggest female DJ's in Scotland and is constantly flying across to Ibiza to play at some of the greatest nights on the island.

Menace is the engineer and has has the broad skills of constantly writing and engineering tracks for big name artists, whilst LOCA is the circuit DJ.

Now they are appear on Yin Yang with two great tracks, Deffy and Breakfast. Both are nu style techno tracks that build and drop to the appreciation of the dance-floor crowd.. Fantastic tracks..

Yin Yang enlisted two of its resident producers for the remix work, giving the release a slightly different varied techno appeal.

First up comes the almighty Ganez, known for his tougher edge style of techno, he comes up with a great groovin' remix that keeps a lot of elements of the original but beefs it up. Slower than usual for Ganez, but keeping his signature sound in check. Great work.

Secondly is one of Yin Yang's original producers that is back with a vengeance. Peppelino with an absolutely jaw dropping remix. Taking the original elements, he chews it up and spits it back out with a sexy ass killer remake of the track. Much darker than the original.

Fresh from a fine double-header on Sharam’s Yoshitoshi imprint, our Bosnian brethren serves us a triple treat in the form of his Bad Girl EP. Leading the release is the title track. A jacking techno hussle with an addictive bouncing bass groove.

Old School rolls out its earth-rumbling bassline and angelic drops before Waiting For Sunrise closes the ep with its thumping metronomic beats, dancing keys and radiant strings.

Samuel "Sam" Paganini is not a real newcomer anymore. After all, he produces great tracks for more than ten years now and also became an acknowledged DJ in Italy during this time. However, his career received an enormous boost since 2011 with his releases on Plus 8 and Drumcode, and now reaches a new height with his Cocoon Recordings debut. Compared to other releases, Paganini's 'Body To Body' EP draws a quite exceptional line. 
The title track "Body To Body" is downright breathing the late air of Electronic Body Music and lives on elements which would have also fit into "The House Of God" by DHS or into some of the more minimal works of Front 242. Gloomy, but still with hit potential – this is a rare mixture nowadays. Great!
With "Fire In My Arms", Paganini is then slightly moving to more contemporary areas, more loop-based and more new school, but still a little gloomy – a very unique blend and maybe representing the typical "Paganini style" best! 
"Polyester", the most House-like track, is the true hit of this EP! Nice old-school snare rolls, driving 909 ride cymbals and sirens result in a kicking Acid feeling that clearly distinguishes from the EBM mood of the first track. Well done!

The digital version contains two bonus tracks: "Hot" opens the doors to New School House as we know it most likely from labels like Cécille: rolling beats, hypnotic vocal scraps, all arranged in a very DJ-friendly way. The very powerful Chicago bass line of the second bonus track ("Paral-Lel") is fueling the dancefloor and siren and synth attacks, combined with compelling beats, result in peaktime music at its best!
