This track I had just over a day or so to compose for the company. So time was an essence to make sure everything was just perfect for the film. With the company being student based, they managed to gain a 1st for their film. So I am happy the music I wrote and arrange for them paid off for their marks.

Project Venture

This piece features electro-acoustic elements e.g. Musique Concrete, that are set over a string orchestra to portray the thoughts around global warming. At first I called this piece 'We are Failing' but realized I was being hypocritical when I myself do not know the full extent. So I swapped the words around to enable the piece to have a question instead of an opinionated answer.

This piece is influenced mainly from the Earth. The first half represents the beauty and nature of the planet, where as the second half is the opposite, being influenced by the force of man on nature making the two collide.

Are We Failing?

This track was composed back in the summer. I wanted to create a piece that sounded like it would spark up memories of childhood. I called it Journey due to the journeys we have all taken to get us to adulthood. So when you listen to this, please thing of your childhood years. Enjoy and thank you.

Journey

This is a song I wrote back in 2012. Influenced by a lot of bands I was into at the time. I am in the process of finalising the full instrumentation version of this song and hope to release it come the summer :)

A piece of music I composed influenced by shadow dancing. 

Shadows from a Dark Waltz

This is a small piece I put together purely by experimenting with some sounds. It never really had a beginning or end. I just liked the aesthetics I was gaining from this piece but never really set out to create something of a masterpiece, merely something to represent and get out some deep thoughts in my head at the time. Shares, likes and comment are always appreciated but also any negative input too. Always nice to hear what people think of my pieces as it allows me to develop more in the future.

After completing my MA in Music Composition I have taken up base in Lincoln for the past couple of year. I have been writing music here and there but nothing to major. I am currently working on a small album/ EP called 'Platform to Platform' which a rough edit will be released come the summer of 2016. The songs will still sound like a work in progress, the reason is so I can take constructive criticism on them to better them :) all of which however do have their own style. Exciting times ahead!!! :)
