The original Soul song was released in 1967, written and sung by Brenda Holloway and her sister Patrice; it was immediately a great success, despite the discontent with the Tamla-MotownYears label.

It was then, the band Blood, Sweat & Tears, to resume the song in a Jazz-Rock version, only two years later (1969) reaching the gold record.

Listening to Brenda's original version, I wondered:

And so I produced this << WHAT IF "You've Made Me So Very Happy" WAS MADE BY SKRILLEX? >>

Here is my track, arranged in a contemporary dance version, adding the typical electronic sounds of Electro House and Dubstep, but also of the Glitch genre, to be able to dance on the floor, but also to listen to on the radio.

My REMIX version brings together musical styles so different originally from each other, personalizing it in the contemporaneity of the sounds, and compelling rhythm, reaching an evolved and contemporary dance style.

This record even found its way into DJ Rush's record bag. Funnily enough, we didn't discover this little nugget of information until 20 years later. People were definitely excited. I still remember trying out this record in my battered Peugeot at a traffic light near my first apartment. There was a roar on platform 3 and the ladies at the traffic lights found the noise quite amusing. Who would have thought that a funky traffic light jam would find its way onto DJ Rush's playlist? Life is full of surprises!
