On May 1st 3:27am (Italy) I became a proud dad of a beautiful baby girl, Neema. She is my heart. I am so thankful to mi amore Daniela Lebano for this journey we are so happy to begin together. I’m sure she will continue to be a great mother.

She has been awesome and strong through the whole 9 months. Her strength and love makes the sacrifice of being on the road away from Neema less stressful. I know she will take good care of home when i am away. We have gotten so much love, support throughout the pregnancy.
We will like thank everyone again for the support and encouragement. Here is a special video gift for our precious daughter Neema from Alessandro Ferraro featuring the first track of my album The Groove Lab called Korintis.

A native of Washington DC, Ameen Saleem graduated from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in 1997. He attended North Carolina Central University from 1997-2001, earning a Bachelor's Degree with a major in Music Performance. He performed in the Jazz Ensemble and was Musical Director of the Choir Ball. From 2002-2005, he attended CUNY Queens College in Flushing, New York, earning a Master's Degree, majoring in Music Performance. 
Recently, Ameen Saleem has been touring extensively across the US, Europe and Japan with The Roy Hargrove Quintet and the Roy Hargrove Big Band.
