American Money is a band from Sydney, Australia founded on the intention to do whatever the fuck we want. In an age where musicians outwardly strive for originality, while unwittingly cannibalising the past 50 odd years of music, we are not trying to reinvent the wheel. We're not even trying to pimp it out with flashy new hubcaps. We like saccharine pop melodies that are rendered almost unintelligible by blaring washes of noisy drums and guitars.

The band is comprised of:

Nicholas Munnings- Aries, former Faker guitarist and man about town. He enjoys romantic skateboard rides, fine budget dining and telling people what to do. He is the band's resident insensitive singer/songwiiter and owner of the most distortion pedals out of the group.

Katy Fletcher- Leo, music afficionado and by far the best dressed person in the band. She enjoys extreme sports and also runs a covert intelligence agency that we probably shouldn't talk about here. She is the band's bassist and longtime provider of moral support.

Allister Eather- as he doesn't list his birthday on Facebook, it may not be fair to disclose his star sign here. As he is also the strong and silent type, it's also probably not pertinent to list his interests either (they are however, extremely interesting...) Allister owns less distortion pedals than either Nicholas or Katy but still makes an unholy racket when it's called for- which in American Money seems to be at least 85 per cent of the time.

Paolo Dipietro- Libra, defender of the R*ck and upstanding citizen. He has excellent taste in cars and is one of only four people in the Southern Hemisphere who can execute the Vulcan Death Grip. He plays the drums like nobody's fucking business.

We have all known each other since guitar music was regularly in the charts, and while the R*ck may well not be fashionable for another six or seven years, we will be flying the flag for it nonetheless.
