During the tropical summer of 2018, five like-minded boys merged their influences and decided to start making music. Calling themselves American Blondes, they set up camp in a cosy home studio cabin situated just outside of Colchester, Essex, taking influence from diverse artists such as Unknown Mortal Orchestra, The Kinks, Twin Peaks and Beach Fossils. American Blondes combine blissful shoegaze-esque guitar tones with spacey and playful vocal melodies, being carefully looked after by sophisticated basslines, mellow drum beats and dreamy keyboard harmonies. Previously heard on local BBC Introducing stations in Norfolk and Essex, American Blondes are aching to release new music in the summer of 2020 and beyond, ready to present their new and exciting sounds that will alleviate their cabin fever.
