an echo of itself beating in my head

The lonely crow calls through the trees
its words swallowed up by thicket mist

This strange story sighed amongst the leaves 
in a wordless hymn 

A mystery even to itself

Hala, beating surreal.

Awakens the hieroglyphics in the sky and the wordless language of the trees.

Here is where all is whole, through dancing the lines of abstraction.

Though we drift in and out of each other's life,

like a transient breath on the rising sun,

these friendships build us tall as mountains,

what we learned and loved,

we take with us forever.
