Second track from our latest album "Rebento" released on Nobusiness Records on August 2013.

After our records with John Butcher and Nate Wooley, on this new record we return to the initial piano trio ideia.

The album was recorded in 30th July 2012 at Canoa Studios in Torres Vedras by Nelson Canoa with the support from Pedro Coelho and Hugo Freitas from pianos.pt. They placed on the studio a superb Steinway & Sons piano for the recording.

Art Meetings are multicultural gatherings taking place in various countries in Central-Eastern Europe. Their aim is to propagate and promote independent culture and to initiate international cultural cooperation.
Art Meetings include live shows played by interesting, unique bands, artistic workshops, happenings, expositions, and other events engaging the local communities. To organize these undertakings, artists, journalists, managers, animators, and various institution representatives from all over the world are invited. This creates opportunities for mutual inspiration, as well as for initiating artistic cooperation. 
Art Meetings, besides artistic events, involve organizing the international Share the Culture networking forum – a series of discussions, meetings, and lectures by experts from various countries. Their aim is to popularize cultural and social cooperation on an international scale, draw attention to the resulting opportunities and benefits, facilitate the exchange of experiences and ideas, help foster mutually beneficial, innovative solutions and put them to use in international social-cultural cooperation strategies. 
The event is financed from the funds of The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Polish Institute in Kiev, and individual donations from the project's supporters worldwide. The project is organized by the Polish “Eclectica” foundation, in cooperation with institutions and NGOs from various countries.

The only surviving 20' stereo recording of a full 2 days multitrack live recordings of this new trio last October 2011 at Coimbra/JACC, supposed to come out as a CD.
Unfortunately said multitrack recordings disappeared.
This surviving stereo recording was remastered, trying to keep the music of one of those nights.

Trio Carlos "Zingaro"/Paul Lovens/John Edwards

Это (Eto) is a piece of variations inspired by a Russian folk song.
It was performed by David Bremner in Christchurch Cathedral, Dublin - 28.11.12

The piece makes loose use of material from the song titled Кумушки (Kumushki), which features prominently in the film Nostalghia by Andrej Tarkovsky. And recalls a peasant's desires through requests to her peers.
The song in question is played before the composition.

Это for Organ (2012)

Andrew Lisle (Drums) and Oliver Dover (Saxophone) are fast gaining a reputation as two of the most exciting improvisers to come out of the Leeds music scene in recent years. Since they began making music together in 2010 they have performed throughout the UK and recorded two albums as a duo, the latest of which (Nature’s Pocket) is due to be released on Wasp Millionaire Records later this year. As two of the founding members of Shatner’s Bassoon they have toured extensively and received wide spread critical acclaim. Central to the music they make as a duo is a spontaneous compositional approach to improvisation that draws on the entirety of their musical experiences. Their improvisations embrace a wide palette of tonal colours and timbres, ranging from quiet introspection to intense full blast fire music.

Born in 1973 at Covilhã, a small town at the center of Portugal. Started learning music at the age of five. At the age of eighteen moved to Lisboa and at the same time began to get increasingly involved with the free improvisation scene at Portugal. Since then he had the opportunity to work with musicians like Américo Rodrigues, José Oliveira, Nuno Rebelo, Rodrigo Amado, Luis Desirat, Bruno Parrinha, Ernesto Rodrigues, Hiroshi Kobayashi, Cristin Wilboltz, Patrick Brennan, Nathan Fuhr, Blaise Siwula and lots of other musicians from Portugal and abroad.

Worked and studied with musicians like Carlos Zíngaro, Peter Kowald, Gunther Muller and with John Zorn who directed the “Cobra Portuguese Ensemble” where he played the piano.

More recently started RED trio with Hernani Faustino and Gabriel Ferrandini and has collaborated with Nobuyasu Furuya, John Butcher and Nate Wooley.
