Gilsun - Bad Path

Coming correct with a strain of UK informed club music shot through a US prism, Patrick Brian makes his first appearance on Sneaker Social Club with six beats that show how much space for exploration there still is within the Hardcore continuum.

Transmitting out of LA and bringing some undeniable West Coast influence to his productions, Brian breaks a momentary hiatus after a knockout run of singles on Plastician’s Terrorhythm label circa 2014-15 and occasional stealth drops on the likes of White Peach.

From the covert creep of ‘Flooring It’ to the tense pressure of ‘Cry-Baby’, the square wave bass flex of ‘Giant’ to string-stab drama of ‘Ill Wishes’, Brian’s sound is razor-sharp and loaded with detail. Crucially, the productions are agile and weighted and certified by DJ Oblig who’s caned them regularly on his Rinse FM shows.

Sounding distinct from the OG London sound while still nailing the fundamentals, Brian’s generous drop for Sneaker Social is a must for anyone devoted to the progression of Grime and Drill.

Gimme A Break Records present the debut EP from Brazilian DJ and
producer ERAM, co-founder of ZONAexp and member of Tijolo Records.

Following releases on Raiders, Das Booty, Caldo, ChoccyBiccy, Macro Hits, ZONAexp and a widely acclaimed self-released EP “Music Is My Life”, ERAM explores her far-reaching influences, including juke, breaks and jungle, in “High Winds”.

The EP opens with two frenetic, juke-inspired club tracks, the second of which features long-time collaborator Tabu. “Gimme Gimme” provides an old-school breaks interlude fitted with mesmerizing melodic sequences and pulsating harmonic elements. Bandcamp exclusive “L0V3 S3NS4T10N” transforms a Loleatta Holloway classic into a jungle tekno anthem which caught the ears of many during ERAM’s recent European tour. Finally, Nova Cheq provides a hauntingly pensive remix of “Gimme Gimme” to bring the release to a close.

FUCK!LACRÈME is a collective of 5 long-time friends,  DJs and producers who share a passion for offbeat percussions and thick TR-808 basslines. FLAC comprises Lorenzo Marfori, Marco Brena, Marco Migotto, Francesco Crovetto and Andrea Greco, bringing each one a unique feature to the crew: beatmaking, sampling, writing and mixing. They forged a unique style that holds together their backgrounds permeated by black music (jazz, funk,hip hop) and traditional music, with the most innovative breakbeat skitters coming straight from the underground Chicago footwork scene.
