As a child Alexander Sting (alias ælxandr) was fascinated by the creative potential of music. Composition and improvisation was explored freely, sometimes childishly and naively, but never heedlessly, during his classical music and piano training. From that time and training, his tunes resemble an unburdened character, something which is prevalent throughout his career. The music by ælxandr is human and lively, derived by filigree grooves surrounded by live recorded sounds. The use of electronic instruments like synthesizers, drum machines, and samplers bring a physical order onto the stage and the setup. Consequently, it is possible to focus on different and individual parts of the music, while ælxandr explores the symbiosis between the creative fixed and free structures in techno music.
