This is a very special release. It is in memory of Rafał (Redirect) who sadly passed away in summer 2019. He was an outstanding and unique-sounding artist. In our fast-paced-newsfeed age, a lot of today's music lacks of typical artists-trademark. The music of Redirect was and is always sticking out and the listener knows it is a track by him.
One of his last unreleased tunes is "Instant Cutoff" and was signed by Perkussiv back in February 2016. This tune perfectly represents the style of Redirect: Phaser-driven and counter-playing leads with a straight forward, dancefloor-orientated beat, combined with a very short syncopated bass supporting the unique drive of this masterpiece. Redirect did not make any compromise - as usual - by pin pointing the main idea and that's that. The slightly melancholic typical overall-atmosphere of Redirect's music is perfectly represented in "Instant Cutoff".

As this release is called "We Salute You", Techno-DnB legends joined forces for a final salute to Rafał: Yabol, Amex, Dyslexia, Proton Kid and Section 63.
They remixed "Instant Cutoff" in their own individual style, in order to give Rafał the last tribute he truly deserves. A heavy-hearted good bye. A salute from the pier, standing strong together, witnessing the ship leaving the harbour, with Rafał's spirit and soul on board.

We wanna thank you, dear Rafał, that you were part of Perkussiv Music and this small Techno-DnB scene. You were a true artist, driven by passion. May you rest in peace. May God protect your soul and take care of your family and friends.

As this release would not be special enough, it is also worth to mention that Perkussiv is celebrating its 10 years anniversary exactly on the release date (February 22nd 2020), plus it is a personal gift to Amex himself, as this is also his birthday.

Finally we wanna thank every single fan all over the globe, who is still supporting us and the true deep-hearted music Perkussiv tries to release. Every purchase you do is going straight back to the label and helps us doing this.
