Eugene Ameyaw Boafo (born on 15th June, 1985), is a UK based Ghanaian rapper from Koforidua, the capital of Eastern Region and a city famous for it’s beautiful girls that earned it the name Koforidua flowers. His music draws from a range of music genres including afrobeats, high life, hip pop and hip life. Ameyaw, as he’s affectionately called by friends and family, grew up in the Srodae area and was raised single handedly by his mother Miss Monica Marfo a trader.
Ameyaw attended Universal school and Ghateco for his primary and junior secondary education and completed his senior secondary education at Sectec. He got into music at age 10 forming a group called Real Adehyi3 with 3 other young musicians Paapa, Rocky T, Davina and Kabacha the latter Ameyaw’s stage name. The group made their name and became the best rap group in Eastern Region in the mid 90’s.
Ameyaw relocated to Accra to further pursue his music career, changing his stage name to Bra7:30, he lived with Kofi Nti of hiplife hall of fame who introduced Ameyaw to many famous Ghanaian musicians such as​ KK Fosu, Ofori Amponsah, Castro, C-Zar, Sydney and among others. Ameyaw eventually had his break when the late Omanhene Pozoh introduced him to Appiatus, both helping him to record his first album in 2005 followed by the release of a song called Auntie Esi ft. Quabena Benji and Richie in the year 2008 which made an impact in Ghana, UK local tv and radio stations. He has also worked with Reggie Zippy of Reggie n Bollie fame.
Ameyaw enjoys tennis, movies and gaming and like other millennials, takes his physical fitness quite seriously aided by his amazing cooking skills that allows him to eat healthily.
