Signs of Life was inspired by the longing for connection in a relationship. Hi everyone on Soundcloud!

I was born in Japan and my parents were assigned to a US Army Intelligence Base and Amiko, meaning precious little girl in Japanese, became my authentic stage name. Amiko is pronounced (Ay-me-koh) because I wish to honor the traditional pronunciation of Amiko (Ah-me-koh) for the Japanese people. I look forward to my first visit back to my birthplace, as I have spent many years studying Japanese culture, history and photography as well as crafting Haiku poetry.

Also making things more interesting, I also speak a little to a decent amount of German, which I know I can get back by practicing in Germany...(think Lindsay Vonn the Women's Alpine Skier with 4 World Cups in her hands). Lindsay and I grew up skiing the same Buckhill ski slopes (icy hills) in Minnesota, USA, but to be clear, not at the same time or level!

I have a special love for the game of soccer, as I played in college and am a youth coach to this day, and still -at it- while I pursue my love of combining soccer and music, weaving soccer ideas into EDM dance/pop and club music. My Grammy winning, co-writer/producer Carlos Battey and I are working on the Amiko Project. It is a 5-7 LP of which 4 songs have been completed out of my catalogue of 6 singles. My second release, "Reckless" includes 2 DJ's and 4 remixes with 2 Radio Edits and 2 Extended Versions, 1 from Sean Finn and the other from the Klubjumpers.

Reckless and its remixes just saw success on the UK Music Week Commercial Pop Club Chart peaking at #7 and after 4 weeks of climbing, it went into the Top 10 the week of September 19th-September 26th, 2024.
In France, I peaked at #3 on DJ Buzz's Chart, Les Buzz Chart, #5 on Le Real Chart and #5 on the Le Hits des Club Chart. I am proud to say that my single, "Reckless", Klubjumpers Remix will be featuring my single remixes on their US Regional radio stations!
