‘Losing My Faith’ is the third track to light up radio waves this year from singer / songwriter Amina Bryant, which received it’s first Radio 1 play by DJ Target on 3 Dec.

This is the follow up to her hugely successful debut singles ‘Jimmy’ featuring hip-hop star Jim Jones, which leapt onto the BBC 1xtra playlist this year by amazingly pipping 
Adele's 'Someone Like You' to the post and ‘Why You Do That’ the Summer sizzler of dancehall influenced pop and RnB, released Carnival week. The official video for  'Why You Do That'  gained massive support across TV including Kiss ‘Breaking Beats’ and The Box’s ‘New Kids on the Box’.

'Losing My Faith' is an introduction to Amina's darker side, it depicts the challenge of a faithless society affecting today's youth 'Give me a reason to pray, when I'm in such a hurry' . The track is powered by WhiZz K!D's thumping breakbeats, orchestral accompaniment with a 90's inspired piano riff reflecting the hits she grew up with.

“I grew up in Brixton, it's a melting pot of cultures so you draw influences from everywhere, my brothers were listening to jungle, hip hop and bashment, my parents were listening to reggae and 
soul, while my sister was listening to RnB, so I took all those influences in.”

Fully hands-on with the technical and creative process of her music, Amina takes on the role of executive producer, alongside her long-time friend and producer, WhiZz K!D. A skilled songwriter, she is strongly influenced by great Motown hit-makers including Holland Dozier Holland, Stevie Wonder, Burt Bacharach and modern writers like R Kelly,  and Esther Dean.

After making a name for herself this year in the underground scene, after playing a string of playing intimate acoustic sets to her growing fanbase, Amina is excited to share another side to her eclectic sound.

Fresh out of the UK, Amina Bryant is a singer/songwriter raised in the heart of South London. She has been steadily writing and recording for the past few years, patiently bubbling on the underground. After honing and developing her unique sense of style, Amina is now ready to unveil her creations, starting with the incomparable "Jimmy". 

Miss Bryant has been writing and recording from a very tender age, coming from a musical family of Jamaican origin, her influences stretch from Motown and Reggae to RnB and Pop. With manufactured pop flooding the charts, Amina offers some welcome relief. As a committed songwriter and hands on recording artist she is determined to make her mark all on her own terms.  Her playful melody driven lyrics make this outspoken Londoner stand out from the crowd while writing songs women can relate to.  "Hey Jimmy, You love me when the sun goes down, Hey Jimmy, when you gonna take me outta this town".

While working with her long time producer WhiZz K!D, an ode to Motown’s Martha and the Vandellas 1967 hit ”Jimmy Mack” was born entitled “Jimmy”. Written by Amina herself, this infectious pop delight caught the eye of veteran Hip Hop star Jim Jones, who’s authentic NY swagger compliments Amina’s own London girl style perfectly. Her debut single “Jimmy” is already making waves on both sides of the Atlantic and is set to be released in February 2011.
