It’s been a long time since I sat down and actually put together a mix outside of Live recordings and shows. It felt good to put something together that really focused on the music that resonates with me so deeply. Finding one’s sound is a life long journey and within this mix I really focused on showing everyone the sound I've been building towards so diligently. A long time ago a good friend heard me spin at Kava Lounge in San Diego and told me a powerful quote that sits well with my music, “It's easy to find your way in the light, but within darkness is where we truly get lost.”

To me when I first got into electronic music and saw live shows the act of “getting lost” in the music is what made it so special to me. The layering of instruments infinitely throughout a set, not knowing what tracks were playing, and that freedom within the sound is what got me so addicted to this music in the first place.

This mix was made to reflect that story and this moment within my journey, so grab some headphones, relax, and get lost with me  <3

The story of Marbs and Deep Jesus began when they were in preschool. Best friends from the very beginning, they've been through everything together.  From fighting over their first girl on the playground to Deep Jesus saving Marbs' life, these two have remained best friends through it all. Most people don't know this but they learned to DJ at the same time and used to go by the duo name Marbs & Orey. This set from our Desert Hearts Spring Festival 2015 was the first time they reunited to play together in a long time and it was absolutely magical. The emotion and vibes were infectious as this massive 4 hour set painted a perfect picture of the history behind these two Desert Hearts Co-Founders. Make sure to check out the image that goes along with this mix as one can't help but feel all warm and fuzzy from the love these two have for one another. Now get ready to take a trip through the deep, melodic, and twisted sounds of two of our best Desert Hearts DJs. 4 hours of sonic bliss is exactly what the doctor ordered.

After five long weeks in Mexico, from Day Zero, to The BPM Festival, to Robot Heart parties in Tulum, I am more musically inspired than ever before. Never have I methodically planed out a set. But I knew this was the perfect opportunity to construct a deep, dark, and jungle inspired mix to interpret my experiences.
