An overhaul of a classical work I composed in 2009, Sonata Part 1 of 3.  

For me, classical music is literally the beginning & end of anything truly graced with the privilege of being considered "musical" in my tiny mind-space.  Although, I do enjoy several genres and attempt to bounce around among them as permitted within my ability.  Classical music and its inherent power to transcend fashion, ideology, and time itself has always brought me back to it: illusory, majestic, transformative.

I submit to its tenacity and rigorous membership; the appeal it creates for those that live in the imaginarium.  The sheer ruthlessness it took for the "longhairs" of the time to flaunt their proverbial cocks out to the world with no interest in any opinion of it.  

Simply awe impiring.  
Such is the price for impunity in art.  
If you have read this far, which, is surprising and somewhat refreshing...  then proceed...
 
- Classical music represents the original love song
- It is the only way to truly convey relentless grief, anger, despair, and/or misery without the spoken word cluttering things up
- A reminder that genius isnt in the music, rather the interpretation of it

- it isnt really here for you and doesnt care either way
- write music in a dying language that has somehow persisted for centuries
