Cassy is Catherine Britton, born in Kingston Upon-Thames to a Caribbean Father and an Austrian mother. At a young age, she moved to Austria and attended school in Vienna. Already accustomed to the life of an entertainer as both a singer and actress, Cassy was ready when she was introduced to DJ'ing in Vienna. Cassy would tag along with an older female DJ, Electric Indigo, to gigs and it was decided that Cassy should learn in order to not pay for her trips. Cassy eventually ended up in Geneva where she was introduced to Luciano at a friend's studio in 2003. Cassy soon moved to Berlin where she was offered a residency at the legendary Panoramabar in Berghain after she DJ'ed for Luciano's Cadenza party.

Since then, Cassy has grown into an internationally recognized DJ and producer. Her production credits include collaborations with Steve Bug, Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, DJ Elin, Dave The Hustler, Mathew Jonson and Swayzak. She has a diverse body of work on such highly-regarded labels as Playhouse, Perlon, Ostgut Ton and Cocoon. Cassy also runs her own self-titled label as an outlet for her unique sound. In addition to her work as a producer, Cassy provides vocals for many of her tracks. In 2011, along with her recurring presence at Panoramabar, Cassy has additional residencies at Rex in Paris and Trouw in Amsterdam, the city in which she currently resides.

When it comes to her DJ sets, Cassy doesn't subscribe to any certain genre, instead she embraces all sounds from house to techno. Her approach to any dancefloor, whether it be for 30 or 3000 people, is about creating a distinctive drive balanced with a sense of warmth and soul. Cassy entices her audience to the dancefloor with a groove and then, with each new track, she gently guides the listener into the present moment. For Cassy, DJing is about presenting herself through her mixes and track selection, to intuit her environment and go with the flow of the changing energy in a room. It's why crowds all across the world now recognize Cassy as a truly special talent.

As co-workers of the legendary, snobby Amsterdam-based record store Concerto long-time friends Z!P and Tom Waist met each other musically mid-2007 through the release of a mix cd by Boris Dlugosch entitled Radio Disco. Intrigued by the shocking similarity in taste for electronic music, the two decided to do a few mix sessions together.

Tom Waist had, by that time, been dj-ing for about four years without getting any real exposure. Though he had become an unofficial resident dj of Club 8’s popular Robo tRock party. Zip, meanwhile, had been fine-tuning his dj-technique in the private surroundings of his bedroom. After a few sessions the duo realized that the collaboration was just what their dj-sets needed and so they amazed friend and foe when they showed up at RobotRock’s two year anniversary…together. That particular party would be the start of an amazingly rich collaboration and the beginning of HOMEWORK’s history. Never again would the two be seen without their signature dress code: white shirts and black ties.

Since then HOMEWORK has murdered dance floors all over Amsterdam with their enthusiastic style and blogger banging electro tunes. Their taste embraces the entire electro spectrum, from Ed Banger to Turbo and from Boys Noize to Kitsuné.
Both in form and in function HOMEWORK takes their inspiration from dj’s like Tiga and Soulwax and from artists such as Justice< /a> and Daft Punk.

Marcus Wagner-Lapierre aka MAKOSSA is like the “godfather” of the Viennese Dj culture. He started spinning in the early 80ies and became head of music for Austria’s famous and nationwide independent radio station FM4 in 1995. Makossa has influenced and animated thousands of music lovers in and around Austria and is known for his wide range of musical knowledge and taste. His legendary Saturday night show “Swound Sound System” with Mc Sugar B specializes in deep, dope, dubby & dirty funky, afro, cosmic influenced electronica and has been running for more than 13 years now. Makossa has compiled over 20 successful compilations in the last ten years. (Fm4’s Soundselections, Sunny Side Up, Dub Club,) After a few remixes & productions for/with Uptight, Sofa Surfers & Peter Kruder in the mid 90ies, he finally teamed up with long-time friend Megablast.

Sascha Weisz aka MEGABLAST started in the early 90ies as DJ/Producer. Initially inspired by Dope Beats, Reggae, and Hip Hop, he soon developed a passion for Acid House, Tribal and Electro. Still too young for official parties and clubs, he enjoyed the illegal Tech scene and started showing his individual style of producing with his first project “Luv Lite Massive”.
