Obsessions

This is a song centered around longing for love. Longing for that beautiful person you just can't have, for whatever reason. Longing for that person who you loved, and they're no longer in your life. That's the emotion behind this one.

I don't do any rapping on this one. I would say Billie Eilish was an influence for the songwriting style of this one. Melancholy indie pop with a groove.

It feels good to write songs in different styles. I'm happy with how this came out, but I'm in no way locked into this style. I love it, but I'm a songwriter first and foremost. I don't see myself as a great vocalist. You can definitely expect more hip hop, funk, electro, and jazz elements in future releases.
