My new DJ Set is in the genre of Techno (various subgenres). 

When most people think about Iran, they might not see the country as a dreamy montage of natural beauty and ancient cultural sites. It’s more likely they think of the nation’s political tensions, religious leaders, sanctions by other countries, and labels like “enemy of the west” may even come to mind, depending on who you talk to. Iranian culture is amazing. When it comes to literature, poetry, music, paintings and architecture, it’s like an enormous ocean that you can explore. But you might not expect it, Iran has a thriving underground hip-hop, rap, and electronic music scene namely, Techno, House, IndieDance, Break, ProgressiveHouse, Deephouse and etc.

Under the Blue Dome or Mr. Hakayiti was the name of a television series for children that was broadcast on Iranian TV in the 1980s and 1990s. This TV program had a significant impact on children and was highly influential. In this program, Bahram Shahmohammadlou played the role of Mr. Hekayati. The first series, written by Iraj Tahmasab, was launched in 1987.

This program was implemented in the space of a store named Qeseh Store (in the next series of Qeseh Bazaar). In this program, an issue was expressed with a story, and the next task was for the actors to somehow expand the issue and solve the problem that was created in the story with the help of Mr. Hakayati. In the meantime, Mr. Hakayati, who had a shawl around his neck and a large storybook in his hand, was trying to convey the intended message to the child audience of the program in a completely indirect way and without giving advice.

As you may have guessed, this TV show featured a fantastic theme song composed by Bahman Dehqaniyar that played at the beginning and end of each episode which inspired me to produce this Rremix.

Melodic Vibe DJ Set was recorded one year ago from one of my live performances in a desert in Iran named Matin Abad (Eco Camp).

Iran includes an overall area of 32,500,000 Hectares of deserts spread in 18 states.Dasht-e kavir and Dasht-e Lut, including an area of 360,000 km², are the most famous deserts in Iran and two of the top most interesting yet undiscovered places in the country.  Lut desert is one of the hardest areas on earth to travel through. Some parts of this vast desert are completely devoid of living creatures including bacteria.

A fusion of kwaito, tribal, deep and soulful house music, in South Africa it is classed as Deephouse or soulful house, although it has its own unique sound and is reflected in the musical style – particularly in the “stripped back” original percussion sounds and rhythms of South African culture.

I come from Tehran, Iran. I developed a strong interest in playing Iranian traditional musical instruments, specifically the Tonbak, at the age of 8. From then on, I continued to learn and play various other instruments such as Tar, Setar, Tanbour, and Daf.

Afterwards, I decided to explore electronic music production in different genres such as Melodic Techno, Deep House, Organic House, and Afro House. It wasn't long until I became passionate about becoming a DJ and started performing at underground gigs throughout my country.
