May The Water Flow  (For the Azawak)

Australian singer songwriter Vanda Franey wrote this song about Amman Imman's founder and Executive Director Ariane Kirtley.  Vanda sings, “Human nature holds the key of timeless generosity”.  Amman Imman's projects in West Africa, and partnership with school children around the world, reflects this theme.

"Well of Love" was written after I had read a lot about Ariane and her wonderful efforts and endless enthusiasm.  I tried to imagine what it would be like to be in her shoes and to be amongst those wonderful but forgotten people in Africa.  Seeing their sadness and suffering slowly drew her onto a path to shun the ones who said......"never......impossible.......it can't be done."
 
I thought a lot about her for many days and the chorus just came to me one day when I picked up the guitar, "Well of Love, Well of Love......she's building a Well of Love”...  In my eyes Ariane is an inspirational, compassionate and brave young lady to take on such challenging work. I feel I know her after singing her story from my heart. May God bless her and keep her pathway to Amman Imman a success for it is full of love and goodness.    – Vanda Franey
