Siba Sawt-System est le fruit d’une quinzaine d’année de recherches musicales, d'un retour aux sources de https://soundcloud.com/azizkonkrite dans sa région natale, et d'une longue période de confinement. "Siba" pour anarchie, "Sawt" pour son et "System" pour l’idée d’une sono mondiale : héritée de luttes historiques, de la culture populaire et du folklore marocain, ici la musique contestataire se mêle aux racines nord africaines de l’artiste. Enfant du hip-hop et de la culture DIY, il puise son inspiration dans des 45 tours amassés dans son home-studio au fil des années. Le résultat : un voyage dans les traditions musicales du Maroc, de la musique Chaâbi, Aïta, Raggada, Amarg, Gnaoua, aux allures futuristes, réinventée et taillée pour les dancefloors, à mettre entre les mains de tous les DJs !

Siba Sawt-System is the result of about fifteen years of musical research, a return to Aziz Konkrite's roots in his native region, and a long period of confinement. "Siba" stands for anarchy, "Sawt" for sound, and "System" for the concept of a global sound system: inherited from historical struggles, popular culture, and Moroccan folklore, here, protest music blends with the North African roots of the artist. As a child of hip-hop and DIY culture, he draws inspiration from the 45 RPM records collected in his home studio over the years. The result is a journey through the musical traditions of Morocco, from Chaâbi, Aïta, Raggada, Amarg, Gnaoua, to futuristic sounds, reinvented and tailored for the dancefloors, to be placed in the hands of all DJs!

Superhero by day, producer/dj by night Gan Gah hits us hard again with his second EP for Lowup records. With a relentless energy he presents a set of original material of Moroccan sonorities perfectly framed within an actual club context. His aim is simple achieve trance & frenzy on the global dancefloors, he won’t rest until the universe is conquered.

After a first successful release Souktronics on Lowup, he now presents his second EP Chaabitronics. Ahwach Riddim, Ahwach refers to the music of the berber villages in the Atlas mountains and integrates folkloric elements of berber music into a smooth running UK bass riddim, perfectly setting the tone for the rest of the EP. Taktoka, is a tribute to the leader of the fans of Agadir’s soccer team HUSA, blending chaâbi elements with a ternary rhythm achieving a trance like state topped off by a haunting melody. Daâwa, literally meaning mess and things do get messy & wild. With elements of the Northern regions of Morocco - think - a Raggada rhythm with loads of Darbouka and a wobbly bassline pushing the listener further into an ascending trance. Kind of like a meeting between the Chemical Brothers & Omar Souleyman getting out of control. Last up is Bsahtek, the most adventurous track of the four, achieving a perfect balance between a diverse set of modern club aesthetics and more traditional elements, often used during the celebration of marriages, it leaves you in a state of perfect bliss & harmony.
