My mother did everything she could for me and my three sisters, in hopes that, one day, we would be the women she envisioned. On January 6th of 2012, The Almighty took our mother away from us. 
It cut very deep, as she was the earth that held my feet steady. As shattered as my world had appeared at the time, I had temporarily forgotten that she had spent my lifetime preparing me for the days she would no longer be on earth. 
I recorded "Ode To Mama" yesterday, on the second anniversary of her death. Like many of us, I never told her enough, when she was still alive was that, it was my honour to have witnessed her life. I am so grateful to have learned from someone as great as her. My mother taught me that I could reach the sky, if I believe and focused. Today I live by it and teach my son the same. She is my role model. She is still my definition of love.
Now my hope is that peace is upon her, because I know her babies are going to be alright.

I've decided to share this acoustic version with you, so much sooner than the album release, because I know thousands of you are going through these emotions, and if you're not, you will.
(It is every parents worst nightmare to bury their child, so I say this God willingly.)

''Havarare'' is the first in a set of brand new singles off Ammara Brown's  debut album, AMMARTIA. Produced by Yagi Dojo and co-written by Roki, Havarare celebrates the most driven citizens of Zimbabwe's capital city and those outside who wish to fulfill their dreams in it. 
"Vaharava" spend time in their respective occupations not just making ends meet, but succeeding despite the economical challenges. 
Ammara's lyrics also have a humorous take at how classism is the latest social trend, especially when it comes to marriage.

With an Afro pop feel to it, the song has a new, and unique sound that is still distinctively Zimbabwean. Havarare showcases Ammara's innate ability to fuse sounds and in this case Afro-Pop, RnB, Sungura and Shangani guitars have met. 

Havarare has been well received by many audiences with Ammara's electric performance interpretation of this single. Havarare is set to be released on local and international airwaves from Monday 13th April, 2015 and Ammartians everywhere are counting down to it. The much anticipated debut album, AMMARTIA is due for release in July 2015.

"Mukoko" is an intensely flirtatious love song between two single people. Tytan plays the man in search of a "Mukoko" (entry to a honey comb) while Ammara plays the "Mukoko" declaring she's much more than the average girl and inviting him to taste and treasure it. Written by both performing artists, it is also produced by Jusa dementor. Due to be a part of Ammara's upcoming album "Ammartia", this dance tune is contagious and is sure to get Afro-pop fans on the their feet!

The legendary Andy Brown sings his fans into party mode, on this collaboration, with his daughter Ammara Brown and producer Reverb 7. Ammara Says "He was known for his Rock-star life choices, and told me to celebrate his life when he passes. So it seems befitting that he go out rocking, rolling and smiling in the process!" Ammara parties with, gladly, as she keeps the family torch burning bright on the stage and the dance floor! (She loves chanting "Andy Brown Forever!!") Reverb 7 recorded the song many months before his (Andy's) passing and considers it an honor, as many do, to have worked with Zimbabwe's artistic genius. This is the last professional recording of the beloved Brown and it's bound to set Zimbabwean heart's aflame, wherever they are in the world.
