'Hicky & Kalo are back on their own label with another wonderful EP that solidifies their foothold as one of the most promising duos in the progressive house scene.

Title track 'Borealis' opens with raw intensity and is riddled with emotion from the get-go. The track fuses a rolling bass-line, beautiful pads and scintillating synth-work, a combination that makes for an inimitable sonic experience.

The second track 'For Better Days' is built around two beautiful melodies that cross paths as the journey unravels, leading to an epic musical moment.

Closing out the EP is 'Echoes Of Our Passage', which delves deep into to soul and ignites the passion within. It delivers a fervent feeling of hope and invincibility stemming from the delectable melody.

This is a huge EP from the Montreal pair. Brimming with musicality, it brings an untamed emotion to the dance-floor.'

This one’s been years in the making — literally. I started Breakthroughs over 3 years ago and just couldn’t give up on it. Something in me knew it had to be finished, but the mix and arrangement were never quite there… until now.

I’m proud to say this is the final version. It feels complete. It feels right.
And I hope it connects with you in your own way.

The title Breakthroughs comes from a very personal place — a chapter of my life where I took some big steps, faced heavy challenges, but came out on the other side with a new perspective. These moments cracked something open in me, and I wanted to reflect that in the music.

You’ll also hear some spoken word samples — real stories of people who died and came back, sharing messages from “the other side.” Those accounts stuck with me, and I felt compelled to include them. Maybe something in it resonates with you too.

I’ve recently started finishing tracks much faster — some in 4 hours, others in a few days — and I’m excited to share those soon. They’re clubbier, dirtier, more underground… but for now, here’s Breakthroughs, exactly as it was meant to be.

P.S. The cover art is a photo I took with my phone during a moment of peace while DJing on a cruise ship. Felt fitting to pair it with this release.

This CD featured a captivating compilation of tracks from luminary artists such as W&W, Gareth Emery, Ashley Wallbridge, Tenishia, and Armin van Buuren himself.

This serendipitous encounter left an indelible mark on AMNOR's musical sensibilities. Every track within that CD resonated deeply with him, serving as a wellspring of inspiration that ignited his fervor for music creation. 

Today, AMNOR stands firmly on the path of artistic expression, driven by the aspiration to craft exceptional music and share it with the world. His burgeoning portfolio has already found its way onto renowned labels such as White Soho Recordings, Alveda Music, Fuzion Four Records, and Lost World Recordings, showcasing his commitment to the pursuit of musical excellence.
