With 9 tracks, Matter is one of the most challenging projects I ever worked on: much of the time I spent working on the album, I've been listening and relistening to every track, shaping and tweaking every little detail and sound until I could feel the right vibe, the one which always represented Need a Name for me as the beginning of my musical journey, but mixed up with many technical aspects I managed to learn during the past years, also thanks to my work on Chasing Dreams, which allowed me to improve my artistic self-expression. 

Matter's melodies are pretty minimalistic, for the most part reminiscent of "Sizzling Plucks", the album that really defined Need a Name and its spacey and dreamy vibes, but with a maniacal cure for all the minimal details.

As the end of the decade approaches, I wanted to put something out that for me, captures (almost) 10 years of work under this alias, but also looks to the future.

"Decade" is an ambient piece that was mostly sequenced live, primarily written on the excellent Novation Peak, all in 1 day.
