Alejandro Mosso’s ability to traverse genre lines makes him a pillar of XYZ’s artistic vision. Through the Sirocco and Promander EPs, he’s built a foundation at the intersection of deep house, minimal techno, tribal, and melodic dance music. As we enter the blissful months of summer, we revisit Mosso’s latest project with a roster of remixers from across the electronic spectrum. 

Boys be Kko takes the reins on one of our most classic productions to date - Promenader. Through a sterling set of releases with Atomnation, the Japanese aficionado is one of the most exciting names in electronic music at the moment. He completely reworks the original from square one, supplanting a low-slung vibe under a gritty bassline. Fluttering melodics enter the fold and escalate energies to round out a mind-encompassing offering.

Polymita and Baracoa are two tracks where he combines classic and vanguardism using an undergrownd sound and deep textures.

Christian Farias aka Dub Sones brings us a Baracoa remix. On it we can see a track full of construction characterized by his personal rhythmical bases.

Klement is a veteran of the club scene with 20 years of experience and releases through many genres from techno to afro to deep house. They have come on labels like Universal Music, Kerri Chandler's Kaoz Theory, Defected and many more. This new remix is of ‘Steigen,’ a collaboration with Torre Bros which was first released in 2012 and stayed in the Traxsource Techno charts for three months with support from Adam Port, Manoo, Argy and Seth Troxler.
Bonelli’s Tinnit remix brings the track bang up to date, streamlining some of the original elements and turning it into an essential bit of hypnotic peak time action. To add to the release, Bonelli serves up a superb original, ‘Another One’ which is a powerhouse tune with a bass-driven groove and intense synth melodies.

Pig&Dan return to the label for their third full release teaming up with Spanish producer and Bedrock debutant M.E.M.O., on this new double-header. Firm favourites of label boss John Digweed, Pig&Dan first featured on the Underground Sound Of Miami compilation with 'Machines'. Last year also saw the duo deliver their first Bedrock-brace in the form of 'Emotions / Let The Show Begin' and their collaboration with Mark Reeves, 'Turbulence / Violets'. More compilation appearances followed and in October of this year their co-production 'Morphism' featured on John Digweed and Nick Muir's 'Versus' album. Having joined forces with M.E.M.O., the trio present a techno double-header in the form of 'Base' and 'Viking Princess'. Base matches the spoken vocals of Leo Samuel with a powerful, abrasive yet groovy tech soundtrack. Viking Princess is a polar opposite of sorts. Pipes and chimes sound above a strong kick-drum and scything fx on this driving but tender creation.

Exclusive Premiere - Facundo Mohrr, Javier Portilla & Sotela ft. Zurdo - Bleed (Marc Marzenit Remix)

As we enter the summer frenzy of festivals, late nights and fun, Sudbeat introduce Ezequiel Arias with a triple dose of warm, inviting beats to soundtrack those musical adventures. The Argentinian will be familiar to many with stand out tracks already on high profile labels such as Plattenbank and Replug. For his debut on Sudbeat, Arias unveils three consistently brilliant tracks - 'Passenger', 'Control Is an Illusion' and 'Inertia' - which perfectly showcase his talents as a producer. 

The influence of Kevin Di Serna (Ezequiel’s mentor and close friend) is clear to see. Opening track, ‘Passenger’ has a driving percussive undertow crafted with delicate synth sweeps, pads and ethereal voices to add to the drama. It exudes a warmth and completeness that will have you begging for more on each play. 

‘Control Is an Illusion’ continues the theme of subtle driving deepness from the first beat. More energetic in sound design that the opener, it is a good lesson in how sparse arrangements and clever use of tension and release can result in a track that captivates the dance floor. Arias pays a great deal of attention to the finer details making his music stand head and shoulders above the rest. 

Closing the EP is ‘Inertia’. Far from being sluggish or lethargic, Arias employs his most bold sound designs on this robust peak-timer. Bubbling acidic undertones meander alongside the track mark pads which build in intensity with ethereal voices. A shaker-led percussion adds greatly to the drive of the track making this the heaviest of the three. A superb finale to a well crafted debut release.
